The Perfect Christmas Session

When planning seasonal family sessions I normally opt for a clean, fluffy green backdrop. These images remain timeless and can be displayed in any style of home. I advise against wearing heavy prints or overly trendy clothes. Family photoshoots are a rare occasion for families, and I love to make sure we can maximize their investment. That being said- I am such a sucker for all things Christmas! I love seeing the holly, wreaths, and lights going up. It’s all so magical and it had to be incorporated at this beautiful family session at Filoli. If you’ve never been, the historic home hosts one of the coolest evening light displays in the greater bay area. This session I aimed to lean into the festive elements while still having clean, timeless portraits.
