2022 Wedding Awards
This year was absolutely epic for weddings! I was so fortunate to serve some of the sweetest couples, each with unique events that were true to them. From running around in 100+ degree heat, partying on the dance floor, and pool jumps, this year has been absolutely unforgettable. I want to thank each and every one of my couples for having me part of their day. I look back on each of these events and sincerely think, “Wow, I think this one was my favorite,” all for different reasons. Some of these are highlighted below. Without further ado:
The 2022 Wedding Awards!
Tastiest Food
John & Lindsay
Let me tell ya, you can never go wrong with a good food truck! The birria tacos from El Halal Amigos were some of the best wedding food I’ve ever had, and so much fun. Later in the night John and Lindsay had a boba bar and fresh churros for dessert!
Liveliest Wedding Party
Trevor & Jillian
This is what a wedding party is all about. Surrounding yourself with your best friends, those who will support you on your big day, and hold you accountable in your marriage. This group was such a blast, and they all kept the party going all night long!
Best Details
Emily & Sam
From a stunning venue, breathtaking florals, and the sweetest love, Emily was undoubtedly one of the easiest and most fun brides to plan with. Her enthusiasm and vision fully came to life, surrounded by an incredible family and friends. Some of my favorite details was the bride sneaking into comfy white Birkenstock’s for the reception, and stunning floral wreath on the cake by Paisley’s Garden. Overall this wedding was an absolute joy to be part of!
Most iconic Ceremony
Kevin & Ida
You can’t go wrong with exchanging vows at one of the most iconic spots in San Francisco. This stunning ceremony was witnessed by friends and family in a large public space, and yet it still felt so personal and intimate. I mean, the backdrop speaks for itself- wow!
Most Nostalgic
Jon & Jess
I absolutely loved pulling out an old point and shoot film camera for Jon and Jess’s reception. The nostalgic feel of the film was the perfect fit for this vintage spin on a classic wedding.
Wildest Adventure
Erin & Ash
110 degrees in Vegas? Not a problem for these two as they bring the heat everywhere they go! Running around the Las Vegas strip and photographing this stunning couple was such a fun adventure.
Most Epic Reception
Shannon & Cameron
I mean… if your venue has a pool someone has to jump in… right?! Shannon and Cam had the sweetest reception, full of incredible candid moments, touching toasts, and of course the most amazing wedding party pool jump. These bridesmaids were ready to make a splash.
Best Dressed
Vika & Rajeev
Three outfit changes and SO much color, this wedding was an absolute dream for me! Vika and Rajeev were the most stylish couple which made for such fun editorial styled photos.
Most Romantic Portraits
Kelly & Weston
Knowing the sun was going to set behind the hills, I was worried we wouldn’t get a proper sunshiney golden glow at sunset for Kelly and Weston. However, when these perfect golden rays came out of nowhere right after family portraits the two were flexible enough to move bride and groom photos up! I am so glad they did. They shared the sweetest moments together before entering into the reception, and we were still able to sneak away for some dramatic late night photos.
And last but not least
Strongest Theme
Britt & Nick
My last wedding of 2021 was my first wedding of 2022. A New Years Gatsby feeling celebration with Britt & Nick. The reception was decorated to perfection, guests encouraged to dress to the theme, and a soda fountain to enjoy during cocktail hour. This bride is a planning queen, and getting to photograph such a fun event with amazing people was the best way to start my year!
Past and future couples- I am so thankful for you!! For believing in me, supporting me, and trusting me to document such an incredible day in your lives. I cannot wait to see what this next year holds. I truly get to serve the most incredible people.
