Stuart & Nafiseh, day-after Wedding Portraits

If your wedding day itinerary is tight, or just want some extra variety to your bride and groom portraits, a day-after photo session might be the best way to keep the wedding celebrations going. Whether at your wedding venue or a new location entirely, these photos will provide you with extra beautiful portraits that might not be available during your event. Wedding days are busy and often things run behind. Unexpected heat or rain might alter the original portrait session you had planned. There are hundreds of reasons why to throw your wedding dress back on.

Maybe you’ve dreamed of portraits on the beach but there’s no way to get there in time, or you want photos in the woods but your wedding venue is in the city. This was the case for Stuart and Nafiseh, who had a gorgeous industrial chic wedding in San Jose. The two wanted to incorporate a favorite San Francisco icon, which happened to fit their wedding theme perfectly!

A day-after session doesn’t necessarily have to be the day after your wedding. It’s perfect if you want your bouquet and jewelry all in the same place, but we can schedule these up to a month after your big day. It’s best to not schedule them too far out, that way you’re more likely to receive these images along with your wedding day album. If that isn't important, some couples schedule this session a year after as a way to celebrate their anniversary.

We started the day out with perfect sunshine, but a surprise raincloud met us and we ended our session under the cover of these gorgeous columns. At least the bride and groom stayed dry!
