Amy & Will

When my childhood friend messaged me he would be proposing to the sweetest gal ever, my first thought was, “When and where?!” I couldn’t miss this! Will wanted a place that would be beautiful and private. The only catch was, it had to be at 1:00 in the afternoon. That might not sound like the end of the world to most people, but it’s the hardest part of the day to photograph as the sunshine is the harshest. We were able to decide on this sweet neighborhood park- you may recognize it from my family sessions a few years back! It’s so lovely and idyllic, and this amazing oak tree creates such lovely soft shade.

I arrived 40 minutes beforehand and built a pretty hefty fortress to hide in. I didn’t want to be found out before he could pop the question! I waited as long as possible, with my sweater wrapped around my camera to help it not be so loud. It was so worth all the twigs in my hair! (Photos of my tree fort will be added at the end. I’m pretty proud of it!)

Amy and Will were such a joy to photograph! Being part of moments like this remind me over and over why I love me job.

And because I’m so proud of it… my tree fort!
