A truly Vegas Elopement
Sometimes what happens in Vegas doesn’t stay in Vegas!
When Erin sent me a message about documenting her and Ash’s Las Vegas elopement, I was absolutely over the moon! Erin is easily one of the most stylish gal’s I know! She and Ash are so much fun. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing them together twice. The first time was a fun project I did with a friend, and they were such incredible models for us. Unfortunately that day we had some pretty intense smoke from summer wildfires, which created a pretty big challenge for the images. The second time their family happened to be in Hawaii at the same time Grant and I were! I asked if they wanted to model for a family session while we were all on the island. They were so generous and gave us a sliver of their vacation! We were met with the most intense winds which made this family session quite an adventure!
So of course, when heading out for their elopement, there had to be some sort of extreme weather! We were met with 110 degree scorching heat. Even though we weren’t so lucky with the weather we still had an ace up our sleeve!
The two exchanged vows in the cutest little wedding chapel, beautifully decorated and wonderfully air conditioned! The Sure Thing Chapel, located on the historic Fremont Street, was the perfect location for these two! Tucked away between quirky tattoo shops and vintage motels, the Sure Thing Chapel provided such a wonderful and unique experience.
Afterwards we took the Uber drive of a lifetime back to the Bellagio, to catch the fountain show and end the night with fun flash photos! I loved leaning into low light film vibes! I even used a little 1990’s Olympus point and shoot to document many of the fun moments between them.
Erin and Ash are one in a million, and I’m hoping for many more adventures with this incredible pair!
